Mario Meets Magritte

Your favorite video game plumber visits the surreal world of René Magritte.

 I first fell in love with the art of René Magritte while reading  the fantastic ‘Gödel, Escher, Bach’ by Douglas Hofstadter, but that’s another story. The art of Magritte is surrealism at its finest & is as clever as can be. The Human Condition is one of my favorite Magritte pieces.

So, what does this have to do with Mario?

Well, early last year Breshvic Penicillin started taking Magritte paintings and creating Mario themed versions of them. These “Super-Magrittes” are unique works of art that perfectly mesh surrealism and Mario.
