Harmony Korine Brings More Weird With ‘The Fourth Dimension’

Harmony Korine is a director known for bizarrely artistic films like ‘Gummo’ and ‘Trash Humpers’.

His latest film ‘The Fourth Dimension’ is an anthology comprised of three short films. Each of the three stories, handled by directors Harmony Korine, Alexey Fedorchenko, and Jan Kwiecinski respectively, loosely revolve around the search for the fourth dimension.

“A motivational speaker named Val Kilmer (played by Val Kilmer) delivers a sermon at a roller rink. A Russian scientist builds a time machine in his apartment. Four friends stumble upon an abandoned village in the Polish countryside. All are in search of the fourth dimension – whether they now it or not. Weird, ominous, cool, compelling. . .”

I’m curious how this will turn out. I like some of Harmony’s movies, but the only sure thing going in is that it’s going to be weird.

If you don’t know anything about the “pleasantly odd Harmony Korine”, check out his appearance on Letterman for some laughs.
